Marfy Website Updated

There is Joy in the sewing room this afternoon: Marfy, the high-style Italian pattern company, has updated its website so now you can order current and past catalogs and search for patterns in your size and category.

You can also search catalogs you might not have in your library. That’s really cool.

The website lets you choose which language you prefer: English, French, Spanish or Italian.

Check it out! Marfy Website

I just ordered the Annual 2013/2014 catalog and a special pattern I have wanted since last summer

The major complaint I had with Marfy pattern books: it might take an hour to find patterns in my size. Years back, my husband would go fishing more often than he does now. I’d take my Marfy catalogs: he’d fish and I’d mark Marfy pages with Post-Its. It worked out well.

I also appreciate not having to order through a 3rd party. I never could be sure of the timing of arrival.

I have made one Marfy so far, Marfy 1877, in Spring of 2010, purchased in spring of 2009.

It went together so well and I love wearing it.

I’ve blogged extensively about it’s construction. You can start here, links in the post will take you to more information.

Now back to cutting and sewing wool double knit pants from my new hand drafted pattern. The muslin fit well last night. I trust I haven’t gained or lost weight over night :)

About Mary Beth

I am fascinated by changing patterns and colored threads. I sew garments and am teaching myself to machine knit. Since selling the building that housed my workrooms, The Stitchery, I'm searching for a place to set up the knitting machines again. There must be room here somewhere!

  1. I ordered the latest catalogue from their website last Thursday night, and it arrived yesterday from Italy. Wow!!! Talk about lightning fast service. No hassles. I’ll be going direct to them for my patterns.

  5. Makes me wish – again- that I needed a coat. You all are determined to talk me into a Marfy catalog, aren’t you? What’s next…a refrigerator?

  6. Thanks for the info. I have purchased a few Marfy catalogs over the years, but never bought a pattern. Just seemed too much trouble. Sounds like the process just got a whole lot simpler :)

    • Welcome to The Stitchery, Teresa! We have more in common than Marfy, my husband is a trained Montessori educator and materials manufacturer. I am happy to see that you are investigating Montessori at Home on your blog. One easy to do “lesson” is Rock Washing. Set up a couple of rocks, a wash basin and cloths on a low shelf where your son may choose this exercise when he is interested. As his coordination develops he may be able to use a tiny pitcher to pour the water into the basin. How fun! “Table Scrubbing” is maybe the first step to introduction of Rock Washing. xoxo to you
