Metal, but Wonderful Metal

These are two machines are very important in creating wood shaped and cut perfectly accurately.  It took years of work to get enough money to bring these into our company.  The picture on the left is a CNC router, our newest addition.  It is run by computer.  My husband draws out his parts in a drafting program, translates that into machine language and downloads it to the computer systems that cut the parts.  It has saved many wo/man hours of work.  The picture on the right is a molder that ensures the wood is perfectly square and accurately cut to within tolerances of 3,000th of an inch and it does it over and over, something that humans have a very difficult time doing.

About Mary Beth

I am fascinated by changing patterns and colored threads. I sew garments and am teaching myself to machine knit. Since selling the building that housed my workrooms, The Stitchery, I'm searching for a place to set up the knitting machines again. There must be room here somewhere!
