Older Simplicity Sloper Compared to the Newer “Retro” Release

I see recent interest in this post so I’m editing because the main content was posted at The Sewing Divas blog.

Simplicity release 3833 in 2007, a “Retro” pattern:

There are only 3 pieces. The main changes have been to lower the bust point, alter the shape of the skirt’s flare so it doesn’t swing to the back and make the neckline higher

Simplicity has been very responsive to modern garment sewers’ requests and interests, traveling to different sewing expos to visit with the current sewing enthusiasts and display their new designs.
