One Moment pls…

Posted on

Pardon me for a moment here, Folks. I need to vent!

And I need to cry. I only cried twice throughout the whole cancer ordeal but I’m crying now.

I had to decide to fire a young woman today

because she was convicted of misdemeanor theft.

And lied about why she had to go to court, twice. She lies easily and as needed.

This was her second “minor” offense, both for shoplifting little things.

Why did I decide that she had to be let go? Because she was employed to take care of people’s most precious infants and babies.

Moral turpitude, you know.

The kicker? According to another employee’s uncles who work in the Police Department

she was busted for taking diapers.

Humans break my heart.

About Mary Beth

I am fascinated by changing patterns and colored threads. I sew garments and am teaching myself to machine knit. Since selling the building that housed my workrooms, The Stitchery, I'm searching for a place to set up the knitting machines again. There must be room here somewhere!

  1. Mary Beth, The more I get to know humans, the more I prefer the animals.
Don’t cry, it’s all a part of this Act called Life, I needn’t tell you that you did the right thing.

  2. You did do the right thing. YOU needn’t cry, YOU didn’t make the choice to steal, SHE did. What brought her to that situation was not you but she. Every human being has the responsibility of their own choices, and clearly she didn’t get it. Maybe now she will. You may just have saved her from more serious trouble, you’ve certainly saved yourself and those to whom you’re responsible. BIG HUGS!!!!

  4. As already mentioned, you didn’t make the bad decisions … she did. I think it would be worse if hearts couldn’t be broken because then we’d never know the flip side of hearts soaring.

  5. That is terrible! I understand why you had to cry… But you did the right thing so your conscience may be rested
