About Mary Beth

I am fascinated by changing patterns and colored threads. I sew garments and am teaching myself to machine knit. Since selling the building that housed my workrooms, The Stitchery, I'm searching for a place to set up the knitting machines again. There must be room here somewhere!

  1. Your garden is way ahead of mine. I have NOTHING planted yet. Maybe this weekend it will dry out enough to get things in.

    • Rain has been our problem with timing, too. These peas should have gone in in March or early April Now they have just a few days to “do it” or be done with it in the heat of the summer. I can bet I won’t be freezing fresh peas!

  4. Rain was your problem, here it was the lack of it for 2 months! And that in a country known for the amount of rain we usually have.
Just catching up, what a lot of work you’re doing in your garden. Hope it all works well and you will see a lot of flowers this summer (and peas!)

  5. I just love peas. They are one of the few things we always plant. Until this year. The weather was so dreadful for so long that I just didn’t feel like trying to get them going.

  6. Is that what we call ‘mange tout’ here in Britain? Delicious!
